Dreamhost is an excellent web hosting provider with a terrific package and tons of features that allow their customers to do almost anything. They do only provide email support but they are exceptional in getting back to their clients quickly & with responsive answers.

Server Reliability has been stable since we started hosting with them several years back. Most all of our programs run flawlessly on their systems.

Performance and Uptime has historically been very good with few exceptions. They did suffer an outage when their Co-Location provider had a power failure in September 2005. System outages were approximately 4 hours long and we were notified shortly afterward of the problem & how they intended to handle power failures in the future.

Customer Service is only available by email, although they are very responsive and usually can solve issues in one email so long as they have the proper information. This is probably not the preferred means of support communication for novice webmasters who need more handholding.

Customer Feedback is above average although there are surprisingly few reviews prior to 2004. This would make sense however considering that in 2004 their marketing efforts started to acquire far more customers than they had in years past.
